Scientists have long been searching for active volanoes on Venus with ESA's Venus Express. Recently they found a "highly variable quantity" of the volcanic gas sulphur dioxide in Venus' amosphere. Whether or not this is evidence for active volcanoes on Venus is up for debate as it could possibly mean some other unknown "mechanism affecting the upper atmosphere." Check it out:
