Life in Galaxy Arp 220?

Ok, so I found this article that originally appeared in National Geographic. It's about the possibility of life forming in the distant galaxy Arp 220. The deal is, researchers recently detected methanimine in this galaxy using the world's largest radio telescope. Methanimine can form a simple amino acid when it combines with formic acid. So technically, a substance important to the creation of life (aka. amino acids) has potential to appear in this galaxy. Not only that, but researchers have found many other substances like ammonia and formaldehyde, which are also important for life, in the same galaxy. It's really getting people excited to see substances like these so far away because it means there's a potential for life. But I wonder what the chances are of life actually being able to form and grow in this galaxy given how chaotic the atmosphere is around the galaxy. Do you guys think there's a good possibility that life could form? And if so, when do you think that will be (10 yrs from now, 20, 500?)
