Mars' eyes looking up

As NASA prepares for the march 25th landing of its Phoenix lander the three orbiters around mars are moving in position for better observation of the landing. The Phoenix lander will be the first to land on the polar cap of Mars, in the most likely place for water to have existed. Its is theorized that there may be water only a short distance beneath the surface at the poles and that is exactly what the phoenix mission is aiming to find out. The probe will dig beneath the surface and analyze the soil, in hopes of finding traces of water and searching for a zone of high habitabilty on Mars.
