Black Holes, invisible bodies of intense gravity

http://www.astronomytoday.com/cosmology/blackholes.html

Black holes have always been something that has baffled me. Reading this article assures their capability and potential magnitude i have envisioned them having. The size of the black hole is determined by the mass of the collapsed star. When the star collapses the gravity becomes so intense that not even light can escape it, and judging the speed of light that seems impressive, even to me who knows little about astronomy.
