Over the next week Jupiter and Venus--apparently they're the two brightest planets in the sky-- will be moving closer together. The article I've posted tells you where to look and although they'll be closest Feb. 1st, they can be seen all week looking like a pair of "headlights". I thought it would be good practice for all of us to get out and find them, try out the binoculars. If you're feeling ambitious you could even duct tape your cell phone to your binoculars and get a pic. for everyone, like Prof. Bates suggested.
