"Death Star"

According to NASA, a jet from a massive black hole is "blasting" a nearby galaxy. This "galactic violence" could effect planets in the jet's course and also lead to new star formation in its "destructive wake". The system is known as "3C321", containing two galaxies. NASA has observed that both galaxies contain black holes at their centers, but the larger of the galaxies has a black hole with a jet stemming from it. The smaller galaxy seems to have swung into the larger galaxy's pathway. Although jets have been observed in the past, this is the first time that scientists have seen a jet actually "punch into another galaxy".
